Cram, Haram!

Cram, Haram!

Following great contemplation, I have compiled a hefty catalogue of Haram everyday items—from your average furniture to branded consumables. I will also attach, alongside each item, an Islamic rationale clarifying why the item concerned is Haram. Let us begin.

2. Toshiba Refrigerators

Now, now, readers. Give this a quick read before you give us a cold shoulder. Toshiba is the name of an electronics corporation headquartered in Japan. The name “Toshiba” stems from Tokyo Shibaura Denki, the original name of the company. How is this relevant? Let us take a quick gander at the very name. “Tokyo SHIBA URA DENKI”. Sound familiar? No? Let us narrow it down. Shiba Inu, Uhr (German: Clock), Donkey. Dog, time, donkey. Rearrange this, and you get “Dog and Donkey time”.

Absurd, yes. However, consider the product. The product is a refrigerator. The very purpose of a refrigerator is to preserve your food in edible and healthy conditions. With that clarified, let us connect the dots. “Dog and donkey time in the refrigerator!” This, of course, alludes to dogs and donkeys fornicating in the refrigerator. When a dog and donkey fornicates, it possibly would end up with an even more disgusting, vile, and vexating creature. An abomination.

Do you not see, brothers and sisters? They are very subtly implying we should all eat the crossbreed of donkeys and dogs. Donkeys aside, dog meat is definitely Haram. Reflect on the abhorrence of what a cross between a donkey and a dog would be, then!

Every food item you store in a Toshiba (Qad’illah yaghfir laha) refrigerator, you are imbuing it in the spirit of donkeys and dogs, therefore rendering it Haram.

Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: “There are five vicious animals that may be killed in the area of Haram or outside it. They are: a mouse, scorpion, kite and a rapacious dog”. The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) also said: “Purifying a container that a dog has licked is done by washing it seven times” [Reported by Imam Muslim ]

Most Islamic scholars agree that eating dog, cat, or donkey meat is Haram.

Repent, sinners!
