21st Century Islam is a new series by Mufti News in which we examine contemporary issues facing the global community.
Today, we look at dua’s or “invocation”, an act of supplication.
Dzulhijjah 1437 – An expert team of Harvard scientists have successfully managed to identify du’a trajectories for the first time in history using legit western scientific equipment.
The Islamic team of scientists was led by Dr. Muhammad Mohamed, Harvard grad and head of the Dar-ul-Jahilliyah College in Doha, Qatar.
“I was getting rather tired of atheists claiming that all our du’as weren’t working. It’s the 21st century, and we got all the tools and equipment we need to prove them wrong.” says Dr. Muhammad.
The team was hoping to find some real scientific evidence that would put the matter to rest once and for all.
“Well, we found what we were looking for. We managed to finally get conclusive evidence of du’as existing. Coincidentally, we also stumbled upon an unexpected find as well. ” he adds.
“On average, our equipment recorded that 99% of all dua’s missed their intended target which is the Kaa’bah.”
It turns out that on average, 99% of all du’as missed their intended target which is the Kaa’bah. Even those in the Masjidil Haram itself in the vicinity of the Kaa’bah accounted for a large portion of the misses. The team also identified one huge reason behind the phenomenon:
“Dua’s would bounce off each other upon contact. So any slight contact each du’a makes with another veers both dua’s off course and lands itself to a false idol elsewhere in the world and we all know how it is with false idols. They make promises to their followers but are unable to fulfil them.”
Also, we did the same studies at places much further away from Masjidil Haram. It seems that due to the curvature of the Earth, dua’s would essentially just travel right off the face of the earth. This is due to the fact that dua’s generally are known not to be bounded by earth’s gravitational pull.
“It is no wonder now why all our prayers have not been answered by Allah. It never reached Him SWT in the first place!!! All the kids in misery and all the refugees caught at sea. All their dua’s were pretty much missing their intended target. “
Back at Dar-ul-Jahilliyah College in Doha, Qatar, the international Muftis were divided into two camps. A certain Mufti Maajid, leading one camp, badly wanted to silence the research findings.
“Perhaps disqualify it on some grounds.” or so, he proposed.
While another, a certain Mufti Nawaz, was thinking of how to consolidate dua’s through a messenger system and profiteering from it somehow.
“It’s a really good opportunity to take Islam to the next level!” or something like that, he said.
