So, media reports have surfaced of a case of murder by lynch mob in a university in Pakistan. The apparent victim, Mashal Khan, was purportedly, an Ahmadiyya espousing blasphemous content on social media. The reports then went on to say that more than a thousand Muslim university students took part in his murder.

In actual fact, we can see clearly, from the video that the numbers are nowhere close to a thousand. So here is a deeper analysis.

A lot of them were merely peaceful Muslim bystanders and have nothing to do with his murder. In actuality, probably only a few hundred had anything to do with Mashal’s murder. And even for those who actually contributed to the murder, the extent to which Islam had a part to play is highly questionable. And this is why.

Yes they were all chanting “Allahuakbar” but don’t be fooled. It’s hard to tell really, considering that mob lynching is very rampant in certain parts of the state for the most ridiculous of things. Thus the more we think about it, the more it is starting to look like this had nothing to do with Islam in the first place.

The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) could not have possibly ordered the murder of this guy.

The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) never once ordered the murder of Mashal Khan, hell, he couldn’t have possibly even known this Mashal guy seeing how they are from different eras. Thus, any claims of justification to have been found in the  Quran for such horrendous deeds can only be a misunderstanding and a misinterpretation on the reader’s part.

Islam has in fact never been responsible for any violence whatsoever. The mass media, wholly owned by Jewish media moguls have always been quick to try to blame Islam and smear the good name of Islam. This malignment has to stop. Islam has had enough bad press. And exaggeration of this nature does a lot more harm than good.

As Malala Yousafzai says, “If you pick up a gun and kill innocent people in the name of Islam, you are not a Muslim anymore.”

So no, for the record, it was not a thousand students. It was more like a few hundred only. And of these few hundred, they were probably more atheistic than Muslim in nature.
